"We cannot say thank you enough…"

 A. Mauricio recently received the following nice note via email regarding a wedding he performed in late September. It was sent by Crystal whose marriage to Paul took place at the Wedgewood at the Champions Club at the Retreat in Corona. The venue offers a vista, a panoramic view, of the valley below and hills off in the distance.

"Hi Rev. Mauricio. How are you? Hope all is well. Paul and I wanted to say thank you for such an amazing job performing our ceremony... We cannot say thank you enough… It was truly an honor to have you celebrate with us afterwards... My mom says hello and is still talking about how beautiful you made our ceremony... You surely exceeded our expectations. Hugs, Crystal & Paul"

A. Mauricio customized the loving couple's wedding, which included traditional Filipino Elements, with a verbal tapestry of how Crystal and Paul met, with threads drawn from "homework" which he assigned to them. The assignment came with instructions for them not to share their work or to collaborate with each other. In other words, there was to be "no cheating!" Crystal and Paul only heard what the other contributed when the words were unveiled by A. Mauricio near the start of their ceremony. This set the tone of their wedding making it distinctly personal, singularly unique. At times laugh out loud funny, at other times sweetly romantic, but always engaging.

Personal highlights for A. Mauricio took place during the reception (the couple's family insisted he stay). What at first seemed to be an exceptional recording covering John Legend's "All of Me" while the newlyweds enjoyed their first dance was actually a live performance with Crystal's mom, Maureen, singing! Later, her daughter proved that the apple really does not fall far from the tree, when Crystal accompanied herself on guitar and serenaded her husband, John, with his favorite Filipino song in Tagalog. This was all the more impressive as her family roots are in The Netherlands!

Thank you, Crystal and Paul and Congratulations! May you live "happily ever after".
