Congratulations to the following same-sex couples for whom it was my distinct honor and personal pleasure to officiate. They came to Southern California from out-of-state to marry and happily their marriages are now legally recognized in their home states... in ALL 50 states. Wishing only the very best that married life has to offer to Tammy and Kimberly, Charles and Jorge, Charlie and Philippe, Allison and Courtney, Amanda and Ali, Michael and Robert, Larry and Ignacio, Ian and Jorge, Robert and Gerald, Michael and Steve, Douglas and Ryan, and Michael and Esperanza (and the many more out-of-state LGBT couples for whom I officiated at the LA County Clerk Office as a volunteer Deputy Commissioner). "No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were. As some of the petitioners in these cases demonstrate, marriage embodies a love that may endure even past death. It would misunderstand these men and women to say they disrespect the idea of marriage. Their plea is that they do respect it, respect it so deeply that ...they seek to find its fulfillment for themselves. Their hope is not to be condemned to live in loneliness, excluded from one of civilization’s oldest institutions. They ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The Constitution grants them that right." -- Justice Anthony Kennedy, 26 June 2015

AuthorMobile Reverend is A.Mauricio Lubong. He believes in love, but knows that it is not always easy, rather it can be hard, to find. So, whenever, wherever and with whomever one finds it, it should be celebrated. Archives
